Scarlett Greyson

After growing up in the small state of Delaware, Scarlett proudly made her first career move across the country to Lubbock, Texas ready to call the Lone Star State home. Her first job was as weekend anchor and reporter for KAMC-TV (ABC, Lubbock).

The most memorable story she covered in the South Plains was one of the worst dust storms the town has seen since the late 70's. She was live outside for over five hours with a 23 car pile up behind her and a stomach full of dirt. Scarlett also did a story on the reactions of families in Lubbock who have adopted Russian children. This story came days after the controversial ban on Americans adopting children from that country took effect. It was a story very close to her heart, because her younger brother was adopted from Russia.

Scarlett graduated from Elon University in North Carolina with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her time there, she won an award for her feature reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists. While at Elon, Scarlett also had the opportunity to intern at NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams in New York, FOX News in Greensboro, North Carolina, and ABC News in Houston. She began her journalism career writing for her high school newspaper in 9th grade, and she never switched paths. Scarlett says it's a story's ability to make people laugh, cry, and feel that has kept her passionate about the news industry.

She was a Division I Soccer Scholarship athlete at Elon and still finds time to play. When she's not working, you'll either find her out on the soccer field, at a live music venue, enjoying the outdoors or trying to cook a meal (not her strong suit). You can see Scarlett on FOX 7's Good Day Austin Saturdays & Sundays 6-8am.
