Chelsea Andrews is the newest meteorologist on FOX 7 in Austin. She joins the weather veteran team of Scott Fisher and Zack Shields. A native Texan, Chelsea is from the small town of Marion. She’s thrilled to be closer to home, forecasting the weather that made her fall in love with meteorology in the first place.
Chelsea graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Meteorology. From there, she headed to Abilene where she gained lots of great experience forecasting and reporting on everything from ice storms to tornadoes to heat waves.
In 2014, she earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society.
When she’s not making sure you are prepared for the weekend’s weather, she spends her time exploring all that Austin has to offer with her new husband and their two fur babies, Penny and Kiwi. She loves reading, watching movies, cheering on her San Antonio Spurs, spending time with family and trying her hand at photography. She also loves being outdoors and finding fun, new classes at the gym.
You can see Chelsea Saturday and Sunday mornings on Good Day Austin with Ann Wyatt Little from 6-8am and on FOX 7 Austin’s evening weekend newscasts.
