Lauren Petrowski

Lauren Petrowski has been with FOX 7 since 2007 and is currently co-anchoring Good Day Austin. Lauren is a Phoenix, Arizona native who attended the University of Texas at Austin earning a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and like so many UT alums, is happy to make Austin her permanent home.

Before landing the job at FOX 7, Lauren was a reporter and anchor at the CBS station in Corpus Christi, TX. The transition from Corpus to Austin was an easy one since Lauren interned at FOX 7 filing stories as the UT Reporter.

Lauren loves living and working in Austin. Her favorite part about being a reporter is meeting new people and getting the chance to tell their stories. She's also had a blast covering auditions for American Idol and The X Factor. In 2012, Lauren was named "Best TV Personality" by the Austin Alliance for Women in Media.

In her spare time, Lauren and her husband love to explore Austin's growing food scene and travel when they have the chance. She is slowly learning to speak French and hopes to be able to use her language skills in France one day. Lauren has been involved with several Central Texas organizations including Big Brothers, Big Sisters the Brain Power 5K which benefits brain cancer research.
