H-E-B's Steve Constantine gets some assistance from Good Day Austin's Dave Froehlich cooking up a Mardi Gras recipe.The recipe for Bayou Brothers gumbo is as follows:
1 Package Chicken Thighs, cut in large chunks
1 Jar Bayou Brothers Gumbo Starter
1 package HEB Premium Beef Smoked Sausage, sliced
Cooked White Rice
Crystal Hot Sauce
-In a large Stock Pot on High heat add chicken thighs, and gumbo starter; Stirring occasionally.
-Cook for at least 10-15 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked. Then stir in the sliced sausage.
-Serve in a large bowl, with a mound of rice, a few shrimp, and a few splashes of Crystal Hot Sauce; Enjoy!
