Curry scores 51, Warriors rally from 22 down to stun Mavs
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Stephen Curry scored a season-high 51 points and made a season-best 10 3-pointers, rallying the Golden State Warriors from an early 22-point deficit to down the Dallas Mavericks 128-114 on Wednesday night.
Curry connected on 10 of 16 shots from beyond the arc and 16 of 26 overall. The All-Star point guard and MVP candidate put on a dazzling dribbling display to match his streaky shooting stroke, helping the NBA-leading Warriors (39-8) complete their biggest comeback of the season in front of a roaring sellout crowd of 19,596.
Chandler Parsons scored 24 points, and Tyson Chandler had 21 points and 17 rebounds in a disappointing defeat for Dallas, which played without injured point guard Rajon Rondo again. The Mavericks led 40-18 in the first quarter before Curry carried Golden State back.
The Warriors improved to a league-best 23-2 at home.
ROCKETS-BULLS Harden scores 27 points and the Rockets top Bulls, 101-90
HOUSTON (AP) - James Harden had 27 points and the Houston Rockets picked up a 101-90 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night despite missing the rebounding of the injured Dwight Howard.
Harden scored 15 of his points in a pivotal second quarter that helped the Rockets build a lead that the Bulls were unable to overcome.
The Rockets have won five of six.
Harden overwhelmed the Bulls in the second, menacing small forward Jimmy Butler in multiple one-on-one battles to score 13 consecutive points in the fading minutes of the first half.
Derrick Rose scored 23 points, playing in his 12th consecutive game for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
The Rockets missed Howard's boards. He was out for a fifth straight game with a right knee injury and Chicago's big men dominated the glass, 60-47.
Forte makes OT free throws to lift OSU over No. 25 Texas
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Phil Forte made two free throws with 2.1 seconds left in overtime, sending Oklahoma State to a 65-63 victory over No. 25 Texas on Wednesday night, the Longhorns' fourth loss in a row.

Isaiah Taylor scored 18 points for Texas (14-8, 3-6). He had final six points in regulation.
Forte, an 85-percent free-throw shooter on the season had a big miss late in regulation, but calmly made his last shots for the win.
Texas' Connor Lammert tied it at 63 when he made one of 2 with 11.6 seconds left.
Texas had a final chance to win, but Taylor's long, running 3-pointer at the buzzer bounced off the side of the rim.

Strong taps Florida roots for 2015 Texas recruiting class
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas coach Charlie Strong tapped into his old Florida connections to help build a 2015 recruiting class he hopes will rebuild a struggling Longhorns program.
The 2015 class is Strong's second with the Longhorns but the first one he's had an entire year to build. Unlike his predecessor Mack Brown, who built a national powerhouse almost exclusively with recruits from Texas, Strong went coast to coast to get 10 players from out of state to sign with the Longhorns on Wednesday.
Five are from Florida, where strong had three previous coaching stints.
The top-rated player in the class is linebacker Malik Jefferson of Mesquite, Texas, who is already enrolled in school. Texas also signed quarterback Kai Locksley from Baltimore.
SIGNING DAY-TEXAS TECH
Texas Tech signs 6 receivers to help in red-zone situations
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Kliff Kingsbury didn't get a quarterback this year but the two remaining signal-callers will have taller receivers as targets next season.
The Red Raiders weren't very efficient in the red zone last season, so the height of the six receivers Wednesday in the signing class should help. The group is heavy on Texas players, with 18 of the 20 players hailing from the Lone Star State.
After losing a five-star quarterback late to Baylor Kingsbury said the team should be fine with Patrick Mahomes or Davis Webb, who made starts last season. The pair will compete to become the starter in the spring.
The top-rated player in the class is defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko of Honolulu, Hawaii. He is the third Fehoko to play for Texas Tech.
SIGNING DAY-TEXAS A&M
Texas A&M signs touted quarterback Kyler Murray
COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Texas A&M signed touted quarterback Kyler Murray of Allen High and defensive lineman Daylon Mack of Gladewater on Wednesday.
Murray led Allen to three consecutive state titles in the largest division, compiling a 43-0 record as a starter. He's expected to immediately contend with sophomore Kyle Allen for the starting job.
"We've only got two quarterbacks, so he's going to play," coach Kevin Sumlin said. "We're not going to play one guy the entire time, that I could promise him."
Last year's starter for much of the season, Kenny Hill, has left the program after losing the starting job to Allen late in the season. Mack should provide immediate help on the interior of a thin defensive line. Sumlin mentioned the addition of new defensive coordinator John Chavis from LSU as helping draw Mack into the program.
The Aggies signed 25 players.
