It was a huge National Signing Day for Austin-area high school standouts. Here's a look at a few of them.
Let's start at Hays High with offensive tackle Connor Lanfear! He signs with Texas A&M and becomes part of a star-studded Aggie class that ESPN ranks 12th in the nation. He sounds determined to help pave the way to a more physical Aggie running game.
Up in Round Rock, Dragons defensive end Breylin Mitchell most likely has his Horned Frogs hand sign perfected. He committed to TCU after his sophomore season.
No need for Mitchell to waffle considering TCU's the reigning Big 12 co-champ that finished just outside the four team College Football Playoff!
In Manor, Denzel Feaster joins the Big 12 as he signs a letter of intent with Kansas. After starring on both sides of the ball with the Mustangs, he'll play safety at the next level and may be in the mix sooner than later.
Lake Travis quarterback Dominic DeLira will get a few cracks at the Longhorns as well. He signs with Big 12 foe Iowa State but does plan to red-shirt his freshman season.
DeLira continues the long line of Cavalier QBs going D1 and picks up where Baker Mayfield, Michael Brewer, Garrett Gilbert and Todd Reesing left off.
And Rouse sends a couple players to the FBS level. Speedster Billy McCrary is headed west to Cal. He'll play safety or receiver.
One of McCrary's linemen, Will Noble, signs with the University of Houston. It's a nice D1 package deal for a couple guys who helped put Rouse on the high school football map.
FOX 7 congratulates all of our area signees in both football and beyond.
