The company says that is introducing a policy for new moms and dads that will allow them to take off as much time as they want during the first year after a child’s birth or adoption.
Netflix’s Chief Talent Officer Tawni Cranz says in a post on the company’s blog that the company wants its employees to have the flexibility and confidence to balance the needs of growing families without worrying about work or finances.
Cranz says employees will be paid normally so they won’t have to switch to state or disability pay. Each employee will work with their manager to figure out what works best and how their job will be covered.
Cranz says the new police will hopefully allow employees to feel supported during changes in their lives and return to work more focused and dedicated.
