Augie Garrido spent much of his 76th birthday on the diamond and there's plenty of work to do before his Longhorns open the season at perennial power Rice.
While UT's ranked as high as 6th in the nation and were in the national semis last year, Garrido knows the reality.
Garrido says, "Sometimes that brings out the worst in them. They go back to thinking, they don't have to work hard, they go back to thinking, it comes easy. They go back to thinking...there's all sorts of traps with our personalities the way they are, but that hasn't happened so far."
