Bride hears late son's heart after meeting organ recipient

Weddings are always emotional, but one bride’s special day has people all over the internet reaching for some extra tissues.

When Bride Becky Turney lost her son Triston in 2015 -- he was only 19-years-old. On her wedding day last weekend, Becky held 2 pictures of him along with her bouquet and rosary. But he was there in another way - In the form of Jacob Kilby, the honorary groomsman who received a life-saving heart transplant from Triston.

The groom, Kelly Turney, stopped the ceremony and revealed that Jacob was in the crowd-- Giving his bride the most beautiful surprise she could ever ask for.

Even people who were aware of the surprise were overwhelmed. Amber Lanphier, the photographer who captured the precious moments, wrote on Facebook: “I knew about this surprise but nothing prepares you for the beauty of this moment.”

Not only was it their first time meeting, but it was the first time Becky heard her son’s heart again. She held a stethoscope to Jacob’s chest, and the two embraced.  Both connected through tragedy and miracle -- Both carrying Triston in their hearts.

According to the Huffington Post, Becky wrote on Facebook: “Hands down the best gift. Most amazing surprise ever! Thank you for caring for Triston’s heart. Thank you for being here!”
