Pumpkin pie eating champ consumes 16.8 pounds of pie

-

Two things are certain during the fall. One, the leaves turn colors. And two, pumpkin is everywhere. Jack-o-lanterns, pumpkin lattes, and of course -- pumpkin pie. But how much pumpkin pie can you eat in a sitting? One slice? Three? How about 48 slices in 10 minutes?

Molly Schuyler did just that, and gained her second pumpkin pie eating world record in the process during the Hands-free World Pumpkin Pie Eating Competition in Clarence, NY. The 115lb. competitive eater won $1000 for 1st place, and an additional $500 for breaking the record, according to EatFeats.com.

Forty-eight pieces of pumpkin pie equates to 16.8lbs and more than 18,000 calories. That might sound impossible to mere mortals, but Molly is no stranger to such accolades. Last month Molly ate 119 dumplings in 2 minutes, this summer she downed 37 corn dogs in 8 minutes, and she devoured 95 wings in 5 minutes at Wing Bowl 25 in Philadelphia in February.

Few of us can eat as much as Molly, but it does take away some of that guilt when it comes to having seconds on dessert. You can always tell yourself you didn’t have 48.
