Pharma bro Martin Shkreli dishes on becoming a prison bro

- Pharma Bro and Online Troller Martin Shkreli gives us an update on how prison life is treating him.

Martin Shkreli is currently serving time for security fraud. He was found guilty in August of this year. In September, he lost a $5 million dollar bail following a joke posted to his Facebook page threatening Hillary Clinton. The post read:

“The Clinton Foundation is willing to KILL to protect its secrets. So on HRC’s book tour, try to grab a hair from her. I must confirm the sequences I have. Will pay $5,000 per hair obtained from Hillary Clinton. Payment after the sequence matches. Good luck, patrollers.”

He is currently serving time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY where he’ll stay until his court date on January 16, 2018. While many predicted Shkreli wouldn’t make it out alive in prison, he seems to be doing okay a month in. He wrote to a friend:

“Things are not THAT awful here,” inmate 87850-053 wrote… underlining “THAT” three times. “There are some bright sides. I am teaching these prisoners some new things and hopefully some ways to change their lives.”

The friend added, “he seems to be handling it with typical Shkreli style. He brings people together and shares his knowledge” but Shkreli’s one complaint is that “he has a small uncomfortable bed, and his sleep quality is very low.”

As for how the internet is doing without its fearless troll leader? There is no shortage of people stepping up to the plate.
