Italian Sausage & Peppers
1 pkg HEB Italian Sausage Links (mild, sweet, or hot)
1/2 yellow onion, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 jar Orti di Calabria pasta sauce (Marinara or Sicilian)
* Heat skillet over med-high heat. When hot add in 2 Tbsp olive oil. Add in peppers and onion, cook for about 3 minutes.
* Add in sausage and brown each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
* Add sauce to the pan and cook an additional 5-10 minutes. During this time your sausage will finishing cooking in the sauce. *** Sausage should reach an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees.
* Serve over pasta or on a bun.
