Emily Madden with H-E-B Cooking Connection shares a recipe that's great for the holidays.
The recipe is as follows:
1 package HEB Cranberry Pork Sausage, diced
1 16oz bag HEB Herb Seasoned Stuffing Mix
1 jar Moms Hatch Apple Pie
2 cups chicken stock
1 egg, beaten
* Combine all ingredients except chicken stock in a large bowl and mix.
* Add in chicken stock 1/2 cup at a time, mixing after each 1/2 cup. Dressing should be quite moist but not overly wet. Add stock to desired texture. For a dryer, firmer add slightly less. For a more moist, add slightly more.
* Once everything is mixed well, pour into a prepared baking dish and bake in a prepared 325° oven for approx. 1 hour. Dressing should be set and firm.
