Counter Cholesterol campaign kicks off in Austin

Counter Cholesterol is a new campaign to raise awareness about the importance of cholesterol management especially when it comes to women. 

The National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention is leading the effort along with several other organizations. National Forum Executive Director John Clymer and Dr. Philip Huang, medical director for Austin Travis County Health and Human Services stopped by Good Day to discuss the collaborative effort to make a difference for families in Austin. 

Austin is the pilot city for the campaign which will eventually be rolled out nationwide. 

The Counter Cholesterol Family Day takes place Saturday, July 9th from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the YMCA North Austin Community Recreation Center.
