Facebook Marketplace pop-up raises money for local nonprofit

An unique pop-up in East Austin over the weekend helped raise money for a local Austin nonprofit. A home was transformed into the Open House by Facebook Marketplace.

The house, located at 1908 Garden Street, was filled with shoppable items sourced from Facebook Marketplace which is an area on the social networking site which helps people discover, buy and sell local goods.

The items were curated by local interior designer Claire Zinnecker and were sourced so that each item had an unique story. Shoppers could buy furniture, items for the nursery or kitchen and more.

The pop-up was open from Nov. 8 - 10 and also featured music and a cooking demo. All purchases made helped Foundation Communities.
