A local couple is turning their loss into comfort for other families. They're giving the gift of time to parents of still born babies while honoring their daughter.
Sara and Don Hogan have a lot to look forward to. "We're very excited to welcome our rainbow baby into the world."
While they've been preparing for her arrival they're also working to help other families who will be spending time in the hospital.
"Don and I have a goal to provide every Austin area hospital a cuddle cot to provide the gift of time to families that unfortunately lose their baby, either stillborn or birth," Sara says.
A cuddle cot is made with cooling technology to allow parents and family more time with their baby. The Hogans understand that not every parents wants a cuddle cot but they want to provide the option and hospital staff is welcoming the donation.
Each cuddle cot costs about $2,800 and is made possible through help from donations. The Hogans are also working to send them to hospitals outside of Austin.
