Emily Madden from H-E-B Cooking Connection shares a comfort food recipe that's got a kick.
The recipe is as follows:
1 bag frozen hashbrowns
1 jar Cookwell & Company Green Chile Stew
2 cups shredded cheese
1 can cream of chicken
1 lb pork sausage with Hatch chiles, cooked & drained
1 1/2 cups Central market hatch tortilla chips, crushed
* Combine green Chile Stew and cream of chicken and mix well. Add in sausage, cheese, and hashbrowns and mix well.
* Place mixture in prepared 9x13 baking dish and top with crushed tortilla chips.
* Cover and bake in a preheated 350 oven for 40-45 minutes.
* Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until top is golden brown. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
