100 year old runner sets record at Penn Relays

A new record was set Saturday at this year's Penn Relays. 

The track and field event plays host to some of the best athletes in the world each year, but on Saturday, one in particular, stole the show... Ida Keeling, a 100-year-old woman from Brooklyn, became the oldest runner to cross the finish line. 

Running in her age group, 80 years and older, Keeling set the world record in the 100-meter-dash, clocking in at one minute and 17 seconds. 

Keeling was a late bloomer in the racing world. She competed in her first 5K when she was 67-years-old. 

She put on a show for those in attendance before the race, displaying that her stretching skills are just as impressive as her running skills!
