DPD surprise boy in hospital

Like any six-year-old boy, Rodney Burton knows exactly what he wants to be when he grows up, a police officer.

To say Rodney has been through battles in his short life is an understatement. Rodney was born with Sickle Cell Anemia and he is always in and out of the hospital.

Just a few days ago, when Rodney went to the hospital, he was told he had a tumor on his lung.

To help keep his spirits up, Rodney's family arranged a meeting for Rodney to be visited from officers from Detroit Police. Police officers accepted and visited Rodney at Children's Hospital in Detroit.

It is a memory that Rodney says he will never, ever forget.

Rodney can not wait until someday til he can wear a police uniform.
