Mint Hill gun shop catching heat for Halloween display

A Mint-Hill gun shop is catching a lot of heat for a Halloween display of a shooting victim outlined in chalk.

The manager of Heritage Gun Shop says the display is all in good fun but others say it's promoting gun violence at a place where guns should not be joked about.

William Adams of Charlotte lost his son to gun violence and now works with families of gun violence victims. When he first saw the gun store's decoration he was shocked.

"You're a gun store, this is the last thing you should want to do," Adams said.

Heritage Gun Shop says it will not be taking the display down, but it will be adding more decorations, like pumpkins, to soften it up.
