Report: Receipt from Ft Worth gun store found inside California terrorists' apartment

A Los Angeles Times report Friday said invoices taken from the home of two California terrorists indicates some weapons were purchased from a Fort Worth-based gun store.

An evidence log found by journalists looking through the Redlands apartment of the terrorists on Friday said a receipt from Fort Worth’s Cheaper Than Dirt was found and seized by the FBI.

Cheaper Than Dirt operates a physical store in Fort Worth and an online store.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page, Cheaper Than Dirt said: “Our Company has never sold or shipped firearms anywhere in California. All companies in our industry are licensed and regulated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.”

The evidence log also indicated the FBI found another invoice from an online gun store, a rifle, ammunition and a computer.

The FBI said Friday that it’s investigating the mass shooting at the San Bernardino office party as an act of terrorism. But the FBI director said there is no indication that the slain husband and wife who killed 14 were part of a larger plot or members of a terror cell.

Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik died several hours after the massacre in a fierce gunbattle with police.

U.S. law enforcement officials revealed Friday that Malik, under a Facebook alias, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group and its leader.
