Wrestling's Bret Hart has cancer

Bret “Hitman” Hart, a leading figure in professional wrestling over the last several decades, revealed in a Facebook post Monday that he’s been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

“I've had a great lifelong dance and I'm a survivor of many hard battles,” Hart wrote. “ I now face my toughest battle. With hesitation and fear, I openly declare myself in my fight against prostate cancer. In the next few days, I will undergo surgery with the hope of defeating this nemesis once and for all.”

Hart, whose wrestling career extended from the early 1980s until the early 2000s, had previously suffered a stroke and suffered a litany of in-ring injuries.
