The City of Austin's official reddit handle, /u/austintexasgov also made the following comment in the thread.
APD hasn't been enforcing as much lately due to the floods! But they'll be back out ticketing high blocked intersections areas.
Honestly, when we came out with the Don't be a Scott, Don't Text and drive PSA, we should have hosted an AMA. I saw all the wonderful questions, and tried to answer the best I could. But really could have used APD and Transportation there. I'm not making the same mistake so they agreed to sit with me for an hour and answer y'alls questions.
So think about em, and hit us up next Monday the 15th at 12:30!
AMA stands for Ask Me Anything. On June 15th at 12:30pm the City of Austin will be hosting a online Q&A session along with APD and local transportation officials to answer the public's questions about the "Block the Box" campaign.
The AMA will be conducted on the Austin subreddit. Click here for a link.
