*Update* Automation issue resolved, United flights no longer grounded

*Update* All United flights in the U.S. had been grounded due to computer issues but less than two hours later the Federal Aviation Administration lifted the ground stop order.

This is an update to a previous story. The original version is as follows:

All flights around the country are grounded due to what United says is related to "network connectivity." It says it is working to resolve the problems. All this means long lines at airports, including at Austin-Bergstrom International.

ABIA says United is the third largest carrier at ABIA. Some flights have already departed and arrived this morning. 29 arrivals and 25 departures are still scheduled for today.

Check ABIA website for information before heading to the airport.

United released a brief statement on Twitter about the incident:

We experienced a network connectivity issue. We are working to resolve and apologize for any inconvenience.

— United (@united) July 8, 2015

It's the second time in two months that the Chicago carrier has been hit by major technical issues. United had a temporary halt to all takeoffs in the U.S. on June 2 because of what the airline said were computer automation issues.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
