Flood Relief – Emergency Food Distribution

The Hays County Food Bank will be holding Emergency Food Distributions for those affected by the recent flooding in Hays County.

  • Monday, May 25
    • 10am-4pm Hays County Food Bank, 220 Herndon Street, San Marcos, TX 78666
    • 12pm-1pm San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E Hopkins St, San Marcos, TX 78666
  • Tuesday, May 26
    • 10am-4pm Hays County Food Bank, 220 Herndon Street, San Marcos, TX 78666
    • 11am-1pm Wimberley Crisis Bread Basket, 14092 Ranch Rd 12, Wimberley, TX 78676
  • Wednesday, May 27
    • 10am-4pm Hays County Food Bank, 220 Herndon Street, San Marcos, TX 78666

We will be providing a box/bag of food to anyone affected by the flooding.

During the relief and recovery from a natural disaster, the need for emergency food increases as displaced families seek precious resources. Food & fund donations help the Food Bank provide emergency and increased assistance to Food Bank partner agencies.

The most needed items for disaster relief are:

  • High-protein canned meals with pop-top cans (ravioli, soups, spaghetti, tuna, salmon, chicken, beans, chili)
  • Single serving meals that do not require refrigeration or cooking/meals ready to eat
  • Single serving snacks such as raisins, granola bars, and nuts
  • Peanut Butter
  • Canned Fruits/Veggies
