Severe weather hits Central Texas

*Update* 6:51 a.m. (5/26) The storms are finally moving out as cleanup begins. Zack Shields has a look back at all the Memorial Day weather and what to expect for the rest of the week.

Flooding, tornadoes are in the forecast for the Memorial Day holiday after a weekend of devastating floods left  one person dead and destroyed hundreds of homes and properties in Central Texas.

Several people in Wimberley, one of the areas hit hardest by the storms, are still missing.

Chief Meterologist Scott Fisher is tracking the storms and will have updates online and on air on FOX 7.

A list of severe weather alerts and warnings are as follows:

SCHOOL CLOSURES AND DELAYS

All Austin ISD classes, buses and offices will operate on a regular schedule Tuesday, May 26.

Bastrop ISD classes cancelled

Blanco ISD classes cancelled

Comal ISD on 2-hour delay for Tuesday, May 26 due to recent heavy rains.

Hutto ISD will be delayed by 2 hours tomorrow, May 26

Lockhart ISD 2 hour delay

Rockdale ISD on a 2 hour delay

Smithville ISD Classes cancelled

Classes at Taylor High School have been cancelled for Tuesday, May 26, 2015 due to flooding in the building.

Wimberley ISD classes cancelled

*Update* 7:56 pmFlash Flood Warning for Bastrop, Lee, Travis, Caldwell, and Williamson Counties until 12:15 am.

Bastrop ISD closed tomorrow Tuesday 5/26. All schools/classes canceled.

*Update*Lake Dam at Bastrop State Park has failed. Anyone in the path along Copperas Creek need to seek higher ground. Eastern Tahitian Villiage Area.

Residents of Brushy Creek in WilCo east of FM 685 are being asked to evacuate immediately. There is a shelter set up at the Hutto Middle School, 1005 Exchange Blvd.

The creek is 23 feet deep. It is as high as it was for the Tropical Storm in 2010.

City of Round Rock has opened a temporary shelter at Clay Madsen Rec Center, 1600 Gattis School Road.

Two emergency shelters are open for those affected by flooding in Austin at South Austin Recreation Center and NW Fellowship Church.

Lots of reports of flooding throughout Travis County.

Avoid Lamar St. downtown...several feet of water over the road. LCRA has opened 3 floodgates at Miller Dam to get the water downstream. There are 5 gates opened at Starke to help out Lake Marble Falls. Hang in there the heaviest rain now moving east of I-35 finally. Some spots here in Austin got 5-8" in just few hours. Be careful! Avoid hitting the roads in downtown Austin especially around Lamar. Lots of reports of flooding throughout Travis County.

ATXFloods is reporting crews are closing flooded Caesar Chavez near Sandra Muraida Way. More flooded low water crossings: 12784 & 12275 Cameron Rd.

Shoal Creek and Anderson Lane in Austin is flooded.

Reports of 2 feet of water on I-35 N in the Rundberg area.

Tornado Warning for Bastrop County until 5:15 pm.

*Update* 2:47 pmThere is currently a tornado warning in Northwest Hays County. This tornado warning is NOT affecting any schools in Hays CISD. Hays CISD is in close consultation with the district's weather service. There is currently no shelter in place protocol necessary in Hays CISD schools.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for South Central Burnet, Northwestern Travis, Northeastern Blanco and Southwestern Williamson Counties until 2:30 P.M.

Tornado Warning now includes Southeastern Lampasas County until 2:15 PM

Flash Flood Warning for Burnet, Hays, Travis and Williamson County in TX until 4:45pm.
