A Winter Weather advisory is in effect for several counties. The weather caused several districts to close for the day and districts that did hold classes to cancel after-school activities and events.
The advisory is in effect for Blanco, Burnet, Hays, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, Milam, San Saba, Travis and Williamson counties.
Several districts that did not cancel classes said dismissal would be at the regular time but they did cancel after-school activities. Those districts include Del Valle, Dripping Springs, Leander, Round Rock, Hutto, Manor, Lake Travis, Georgetown, Pflugerville and Austin ISD.

Blanco ISD let students out early at 1 p.m. and also announced that class will start at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 2/24.
Marble Falls, Burnet, Llano, Mason and Harper ISDs announced earlier in the day that school would be closed today.

Llano made the announcement on its website.
Meantime UT-Austin said it was operating on a normal schedule.
