Amber Alert canceled, missing 11-year-old found safe

A missing 11-year-old boy has been found safe in Clute. The boy's father has been taken into custody.

The Texas Center for the Missing had issued a Houston Regional Amber Alert for the Oyster Creek Police Department who were looking for an endangered missing child. The 11-year-old Hispanic male child, Javier Christian Chapa, Jr., was last seen around 9:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the backyard of his grandparents in Oyster Creek in Brazoria County, Texas.

Police say Javier's non-custodial father, Javier Chapa, Sr., has felony warrants pending, and is a known drug user.
