American Red Cross

The American Red Cross is one of the most important organizations to count on when disaster strikes. Bristel Minsker with the Central Texas chapter talks about what they're doing, and what you can do, to help those affected by the recent flooding.

The group has multiple shelters set up in Central Texas to help. Here are the ones that are open as of 10 a.m. on 5/26:

  • San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, Texas
  • South Austin Rec Center, 1100 Cumberland Rd, Austin, Texas
  • American Legion Post, 1501 N Colorado St, Lockhart, Texas
  • Gem of the Hills Community Center, 2233 US-281, Blanco, Texas
  • Northwest Fellowship Church, 13427 Pond Springs Rd, Austin, Texas
