Austin-area man reunited with beloved pet thanks to social media

An Austin-area man has been reunited with his beloved sugar glider after the little guy disappeared for a few days. And it's all thanks to social media.

Danny Hawk has had "Christmas" for eight years and lost Christmas on November 4th. Christmas is domesticated and hangs out in a pouch around Danny's neck. A friend of Danny's, Vance Hazen, says Danny was devastated when Christmas went missing because he'd had two other pets put down recently and a dog that is sick as well.

Vance says he told Danny to post an ad on Craigslist but because he didn't feel like Danny would do it, Vance put the ad up himself. Vance says he shared the ad on Facebook and asked others to share it as well.

On November 9th, Danny got a call from a woman named Olivia Pepper who said she noticed an unusual distressed animal in an an alley and picked it up. The following is what Olivia posted to Facebook:

Now Christmas is back home with Danny.
