Authorities identify two more dead in Wimberley flood, 4 remain missing

Monday evening, Hays County officials identified two bodies found last week in the wreckage of the Memorial Day Weekend flood as 71-year-old Sue Carey and 34-year-old Laura McComb.

The two women were identified using medical and dental records.

Carey's body was found May 30 at 11:30 a.m. near Lime Kiln Road at Water Tower Road in San Marcos. McComb's body was found a few hours later in flood debris near the Blanco River near the 700 block of Bluffview Road in Wimberley.

In all, eight bodies have been recovered in Hays County, and all but one has been identified.

Dayton Larry Thomas, age 74, found in northern San Marcos May 24

Michelle Marie Carey-Charba, age 43, found May 25 in Caldwell County

Jose Alvaro Arteaga-Pichardo, age 29, found in the area of Loop 165 in Wimberley May 26

Jonathan Andrew McComb, age 6, found May 27 near Water Park Road and RR 3237 in Wimberley

Ralph Hugh Carey, White Male, age 73, found May 28 near Fox Road northwest of San Marcos

Sue McNeil Carey, White Female, age 71, found May 30 at Lime Kiln and Water Tower Roads in San Marcos

Laura Schultz McComb, White Female, age 34, found May 30 near the Blanco River near the 700 Block of Bluffview Road in Wimberley

Four people remain listed as missing. The list of missing are:

William Randall Charba, White Male, age 42, (DOB: 04/22/73) last seen at 100 Deer Crossing, Wimberley

William Charba, White Male, age 6 (DOB: 01/29/09) last seen at 100 Deer Crossing, Wimberley

Leighton McComb, White Female, age 4 (DOB: 07/23/10) last seen at 100 Deer Crossing, Wimberley

Kenneth Reissig, White Male, age 81 (DOB: 03/14/34) last seen at FM 32 @ 473 in Blanco County
