Girl, 8, creates 'goodie' bags for Pulse investigators working crime scene

- Crime scene investigators working outside the Pulse Orlando nightclub on Thursday received praise from one little girl, in the form of "goodie" bags.  Samaya "Sam" Fonseca, 8, showed off a "thank you" card that she made to go along with a bag for each responder.

We asked why it was so important for her to do this, to which she replied, "Because they were the ones who helped the people who got hurt feel better."

Sam's mother, Johanna, said Sam set up a lemonade stand to help raise money for the goodie bags, but it was a church that got even more donations and helped hand them out. "She ended up buying cards and candies and we heard Central Christian Church was hosting a community outreach event, so we partnered with them," Johanna said.

"We've been here for the last five days day in and day out," explained Special Agent Regina Lombardo, with the Tampa field offices of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  She was one of the agents who received a bag through the church and couldn't wait to meet Sam. "Just the little things have touched us. We just want to say we appreciate it and loved the fact that you took the time," she told Sam.

Johanna added, "I want her to know, that when something bad is happening, there's always positive that comes out of everything."

The bag filled with treats also caught the eye of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.   "Thank you for these nice cards. I really appreciate that," he told her .

Sam said she plans to make more cards and goodie bags for grief counselors too.
