Hundreds walk through downtown Austin in support of Freddie Gray, Larry Jackson

The protests over the police-custody death of Freddie Gray in Baltmore have spread to Austin.

A protest got underway at Palm Park Friday night. Hundreds deep marched to the Congress Street bridge chanting "Austin stands with Baltimore."

Carrying signs and defiantly chanting, the group marched against traffic. The protestors were not only making a statement in support of Freddie Gray but also support in of Larry Jackson and other victims of police brutality. On Wednesday, it was announced that the trial for the Austin Police officer accused of killing Jackson would be moved to a federal court

The crowd Friday was mostly made of Austinites, some of whom moved here from Baltimore

The organizers for the protest wouldn't go on camera but told FOX 7's Elizabeth Saab it's not clear where they are headed next.
