Flooding concerns and water rescues in Travis County

Properties bordering Onion Creek saw some rising waters earlier this morning. It's unfortunately a situation that many in the area are familiar with.

Officials say Onion Creek was expected to rise about 28 feet. It's a concern because 32 feet is when more neighborhoods would get flooded.

People who live in the Thoroughbred Farms neighborhood were told to seek higher ground.

Southeast Austin has been highly affected by the overnight storms. Crews conducted about a dozen water rescues.

That number includes two people who were seen in flood waters around 2 a.m. off FM 812 and 130. STAR Flight assisted with the search but crews were unable to find them. AFD and APD are currently working the scene.
