Violent motorcycle crash caught on camera

*WARNING* - Graphic language and violent motorcycle crash in video.

A motorcyclist is in serious condition after a violent crash yesterday evening.

15 seconds into the video, you can see a motorcycle driver turning left into oncoming traffic.  According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the driver of the SUV was traveling the speed limit and had the right of way.

According to a FOX 7 viewer, the accident occurred  around 5:15pm at the intersection of Burnet Rd and 49th St.

The video uploader goes on to say that, "Looks like the motorcycle turned left in front of the SUV. Neither had a good view of the entire intersection because of the slight curve in the road and the long bus obstructing the view."

Unofficial reports are that the motorcyclist is identified as Brandon Newton.

According to a GoFundMe campaign that began yesterday...

"Still getting updates. We aren't with him so we are all hearing about what's happening afterward. Update: He was on his Motorcycle and he got hit. He has a broken right hip, his right foot is crushed and he had half amputated. They repaired the left femur it was broken. The hip and foot will be worked on Thursday."

"My name is Bailee Newton. My big brother Brandon Newton was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle Tuesday, December 15th.  He's currently having multiple surgeries done while we wait to hear how he's doing. "

"We're asking for any donations to help him out with bills and costs while not being able to work. Unfortunately he's in Austin, TX and we're in Des Moines, IA. We don't have the funds to get to him at this time, but with your help we can be there for him as soon as possible. Our Christmas has been put on pause until we are able to be by his side and help him through everything. It would mean the world to us if we could be together in this difficult time. "

"My brother is a hero to me and my favorite person in the world. My whole family misses him dearly and his accident has only compounded that. "

The GoFundMe has currently raised 7,815 of the $9,000 goal.
