6-year-old boy caught in crossfire dies
A six year old boy has died after being caught in the crossfire between Bexar County sheriff deputies and a woman who was a wanted felon on Thursday, according to KSAT.
Bexar County deputies were searching for the woman when they came across her trying to break into homes at the Pecan Grove Mobile Home Park. According to officials, deputies approached her and a gun battle quickly began, KSAT reported. The woman died on the scene.
The young boy was inside of the home when the gunfire began. KSAT says the six-year-old was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died shortly after.
Officials said the deputies involved in the incident have experience ranging from two to 27 years.
