ACC doubles donations to Brown Santa program

Austin Community College says that it delivered 9,914 children's books to the Travis County Sheriff's Office's Brown Santa program today. That's more than double the donations collected last year.

The books were accepted by Travis County Sheriff Greg Hamilton at an event. The books will be delivered to children of low-income families.

This is the seventh year ACC students, faculty, and staff have collected books for the TCSO program.

Since its inception, the college has collected more than 17,000 books.
