APD asking for help identifying 6th Street robbery suspects

The Austin Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying two suspects who robbed a man in September. Detectives have been working the case but the investigation was delayed due to the severity of the victim's injuries.

Police say on September 7 at about 3 a.m. a male victim was walking eastbound in the 1600 block of East 6th Street when two subjects stopped him and assaulted him.

The victim fell to the ground and was seriously injured.

The two suspects stole personal items from the victim then ran north on Chalmers Avenue. One suspect got onto a bicycle and rode eastbound on 7th Street.

APD Robbery is seeking the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the suspects in this case. If you have information, please contact the APD Robbery Tip Line at (512) 974-5092.
