The Austin Police Department says what was initially investigated as a possible attempted kidnapping is now believed to have been a disturbance among people who knew each other.
Officers had been called to the 1700 block of Rutland Drive at around 4 p.m. on June 12 for a possible kidnapping. Witnesses told police about a truck which police later located.
Police say they are continuing to review evidence to officially confirm and are encouraging those with information to call Missing Persons at 512-974-5250.
