APD seeking public's assistance in series of aggravated robberies

The Austin Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for a series of Aggravated Robberies that began in May, 2016.

Cases:

  • May 21, 2016, 11:30 p.m. – 10000 N. Lamar Blvd. 16-1440886
  • May 25, 2016, 11 p.m. – 1306 McKie Dr. 16-1461955
  • May 30, 2016, 1 a.m. – 1901 E. Anderson Ln. 16-1510080


In each case, the suspect has posed as a security guard or police officer and approaches the victims asking for ID. The suspect then robs the victims at gunpoint and appears to be targeting Hispanic males that are out late in apartment complexes.

The suspect is described as:

  • Black male
  • 25 – 30 years of age
  • 5’8” to 6’0”
  • 150-165 lbs


The suspect wears sunglasses and is dressed in a dark blue security guard uniform.

He drives a newer model, gray, four-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai.
