Austin ISD proposes changes to district operations

AUSTIN, Texas - Austin ISD is proposing major changes in how the district operates and is asking for the public's input.

Some of the major changes include closing schools, modernizing others and opening a handful of new ones.

District officials are discussing the proposals at a briefing this afternoon.
