Austin police investigate 2 violent crimes against women in East Austin

Austin Police are investigating two violent crimes against women, within a half-mile of one another in December.

The first happened on December 21st. A woman told police she had a fight with her boyfriend and was walking in the Davis White Northeast Neighborhood Park around 6:30 in the evening. The woman said two men later identified as David Green,58, and Kyle Kenoski,18, held a knife to her throat and repeatedly raped her.

The arrest affidavits detail the horrific assault.

She told police the men put a cord around her neck and that she begged them not to kill her. The suspects told her to go to the restroom and wait five minutes before leaving she later called 911.

Neighbors said they'd like to see more police presence in the area and more street lights near the park. Ten days later just down the road on Ed Bluestein Boulevard. Investigators found a woman's body in the woods. The victim was later identified as Nicole Diane Coleman, 23.

The Travis County Medical Examiner said she was nude and had suffered obvious trauma.

At the time, police did not say how long she had been there and her cause of death is being withheld while they investigate. Investigators are asking for the public's help if you know anything about this case you are asked to call Crime Stoppers.
