Austin resident wins top prize in scratch-off
One Austin resident got lucky on a scratch-off recently. Alexis Newman won $1,000,000 on the $100 Million Golden Treasures game.
Newman purchased the ticket at Circle K located at 1515 Round Rock Avenue. The store is also eligible for a $10,000 retailer bonus.
This is the first of five top prizes claimed in the Texas Lottery game, the organization said. Four more $1,000,000 prizes are still out there.
Texas Lottery said the overall odds of winning any sort of prize in the game is one in 3.16.
