Bastrop School Police investigating graphic Snapchat photos of female students

Bastrop ISD Police are investigating reports of Snapchat accounts that contain graphic photos of female students.

BISD Executive Director of Communications Kristi Lee said the incident involves students at both Bastrop High School and Cedar Creek High School.

"Bastrop ISD stands firm in not tolerating bullying or cyberbullying on our campuses. We appreciate the quick response of students in reporting the incident and in assisting the administration in the investigation, and we will take swift and appropriate action against anyone involved," said Lee.

FOX 7 spoke to parents who said the situation is alarming.

Tina Burdett a parent of a student at Bastrop High School said she monitors her teen’s phone. "It's just very disturbing I don't think that these kids realize that once you do things like this and put it out in the internet or social media it's there forever and you can no longer take it back," Burdett said.
