First responders recovered the body of a swimmer who was swept away by a current in Lady Bird Lake.
According to ATCEMS, first responders were called out to the 2800 block of East Cesar Chavez shortly before 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 after a male swimmer did not resurface.
Rescue efforts were transitioned to recovery mode after the search extended over 30 minutes.
According to ATCEMS, the victim is believed to be in his sixties and was pronounced dead on scene.
