Bomb threat investigated at Texas State

UPDATE: Police have given the all clear for the LBJ Student Center and the Jones Dining Hall. Texas State says normal operations have resumed. 


The Texas State University Police Department investigated a bomb threat at the LBJ Student Center on the Texas State San Marcos campus Thursday afternoon. They later expanded the investigation to include Jones Dining Hall.

According to Texas State, officers swept the building and searched for any possible threat. An all clear was given around 5 p.m.

UPD asked everyone to avoid the areas during the investigation and an evacuation notice was issued for the LBJ Student Center.

Classes and other university operations remained unchanged throughout the day.
