Brush fire in Manor

Austin Fire Department assisted the Manor Fire Department after a brush fire broke out off Highway 20.

Firefighters say the triple digit heat, strong winds and thick vegetation made work difficult.

STAR Flight was brought in to help pour water on flames in the most remote areas.

In total about 20 acres were burned.

There were no reports of any injuries and no structures were reported damaged.

Officials say the fire is 100% contained but they will continue to look out for hot spots.
