The Buda Police Department says it has arrested three people accused of stealing a vehicle. Police believe they may be responsible for multiple vehicle burglaries and thefts over the past few weeks.

Police say they were patrolling the Ashford Park neighborhood on November 25 just after 3 a.m. when officers spotted a reported stolen vehicle in the area of Faircrest Drive. The vehicle was reportedly stolen in Buda earlier in the week.

A traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle fled and ultimately stopped at Ashford Park Blvd and Winborne Way where three suspects fled on foot. Authorities were able to find them and arrest them.

Police have identified two suspects: Jose Delamora and Kenneth Lee, Jr. Both are 17 and both are from Austin. Delamora and Lee, Jr. are in the Hays County Jail.

The third suspect is a juvenile and was taken to the Hays County Juvenile Detention Center.

Officials say each suspect is facing multiple charges and may face more as they continue to investigate other recent vehicle burglaries and thefts.
