Buescher State Park evacuated during fires

According to the Texas A&M Forest Service there were 10 people camping in Buescher State Park when the fire broke out. For fear of smoke inhalation, they were voluntarily evacuated. 

There is also an MD Anderson Research facility nearby. No patients where inside the facility, it's all science research. MD Anderson says about 250 people work there along with mice and fish. 

One person stayed behind to keep an eye on the animals. 

MD Anderson says since the 2011, fires they have upgraded the building for situations like this. They said the building is equipped with smoke filters so the smoke shouldn't be harming the animals or the person that stayed behind.
