Car accident sends 2 students to the hospital

On Friday, February 12 at approximately 8:13 am, Leander officers responded to the intersection of Raider Way and E. Crystal Falls Pkwy to investigate a collision involving a red pickup that struck a 15 year old male student and an 11 year old male student that were walking to school.

Rouse High School and Wiley Middle School are both located near this intersection.

At this point in the investigation, it appears that the 17 year old male driver was traveling southbound on Raider Way and was turning eastbound onto E. Crystal Falls Pkwy when he struck the two students that were in the crosswalk on Crystal Falls Pkwy.

Both of these students were transported to Dell Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This investigation is still ongoing and no criminal charges have been filed at this point.
